- Description
- The US Army, TACOM-ARDEC on behalf of the Towed Artillery Digitization Program, intends to award a sole source, two-year Cost-type contract to General Dynamics Canada (GDC), Ottawa, Canada for TAD Block 1a software development support. Towed Artillery Digitization (TAD) is a digital fire control system that will be integrated onto the M777 LW155 Towed Howitzer. The TAD program is blocked with Block 1a development responsibilities going to TACOM-ARDEC. The GDC support activities will be to deliver TAD Block 1 hardware surrogates for TAD Block 1a development and to provide TAD Block 1 software assets, analyses, screen development and integration for use in the TAD Block 1a project. This leverage of GDC TAD Block 1 expertise is necessary to reduce lead time and cost for TAD Block 1a. NUMBERED NOTE 22 IS IN EFFECT FOR THIS NOTICE AND IS INCORPORATED BY REFERENCE HEREIN.
