Description: The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) intends to increase the maximum quantity ceiling of rechargeable batteries, chargers, dischargers and adapters that can be ordered under the Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Omni-Charge Re-chargeable battery contract DAAB07-01-D-A504 with Bren-Tronics, Inc., Commack, New York. This is a restricted action under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. The increases are as follows: rechargeable batteries from 46,000 to 861 ,422; adapters from 77,500 to 141,913; chargers from 25,100 to 37,543; and, dischargers from 25,000 to 39,363. No change in the period of performance is planned. This action is necessary due to the significant increase in demands as a result of recent an d current military operations and to ensure a steady supply of these items. No competition is expected for this action as Bren-Tronics is the only current known source for these items. See Note 22.
