Description

The US Geological Survey (USGS) intends to contract for a Project Facilitator to support the implementation of activities associated with the Middle East Water Data and Water Conservation Projects. Service must begin July 15, 2004 and will include facilitating travel and meetings with core participants, providing technical support to participants, and generally serving in a role to keep the project moving forward under sometime difficult circumstances. The contractor must be a Jordanian citizen already residing in Aman, Jordan and possessing national papers that enables him to travel freely and unrestricted between Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories. The contractor must also possess a Bachelor's degree, or higher, speak and write fluently in Arabic and English, and be knowledgeable of the various regional governments' infrastructures. The USGS will not pay for travel or per diem costs to the region. Any vendor who believes that he can meet the requirements above is invited to contact the Contracting Officer at (703) 648-7478.
