- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a non-competitive basis with Teradyne for modification and delivery of four (4) preproduction modified Teradyne GDS3100 Diagnostic Tablet Tester units. Teradyne will modify their GDS3100 unit by adding the Teradyne Bi4 Series Bus Test Instrument (BTI) and the Teradyne GNA-620 communication gateway and any/all cabling necessary to provide the Navy with bus emulation support for standard avionics busses 1553, 429, 232, 422 and 485 and other serial data buses as a means to aid the Fleet maintainer in collection of Built-In-Test (CIT) data, verifying mission profile data and interfacing with the standard communication busses. The modified GDS3100 will execute diagnostic routines under the direction of an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (ITEM). The modified GDS3100 will include source and measurement functions and be able to upload/download updates to ITEMs. Modification to the GDS3100 with the Teradyne Bi4 and GNA-620 communication gateway will provide the Navy with the required avionics standard communication buss interface. The modified Teradyne GDS3100 Diagnostic Tablet Tester will fill the Navy?s avionic platforms? need of a commercial ?man-portable? integrated diagnostic tester to provide a wide range of maintenance applications incuding fault diagnostics, data recording, integrated technical manual display utilities and traditional diagnostic debugging tools. The government does not own data, drawings, software code or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal which may be used by the government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should reference N68335-04-R-0122. A determination by the government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
