- Description
- A Basic Ordering Agreement with the Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office (JPO), Paxuxent River, MD is required by NAVAIR NAWCAD Lakehurst for the design, development, testing, production, installation, training, and maintenance of Consolicated Automated Support System (CASS) Test Program Sets (TPS) in support of both the Air Force (CV) and Marine (MV) V-22 Osprey Aircraft Program. Bell-Boeing will develop V-22 Weapon Replaceable Assemblies CASS/RTCASS OTPSs and produce MV-22 Aircraft OTPSs to support the intermediate level sites. All these OTPSs will provide intermediate level fault detection, isolation and repair capability in support of the WRAs designated as Lot II. The OTPS hardware and software to test the WRAs will be fielded to US Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force sites as a set. The Government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304?(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation Section 6.302-1. This is newly identified support equipment for which Bell-Boeing, the original equipment manufacturer, has developed the required technical data and software. Bell-Boeing is the only source possessing the requisite system knowledge, engineering expertise, aircraft integration information, and technical data needed to design, develop, test, produce, install, and maintain all required V-22 OTPSs and provide the hardware and software integration required to maintain and repair the sets.
