- The purpose of this modification is to correct the P/N from 4087040-01 to 4087040. NOUN: Metal Tube Assy; NSN: 4710-01-508-7847NZ; P/N: 4087040-01; QTY: 35 or 70 or 105; U/I: Each; DELIVERY: November, 2004 to Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW100/200/220/220E Engines; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: 16.180 inches long; Outside diameter 1.000 inches; Wall thickness 0.035 inches; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Steel, type 1, Spec PWA 770 SST or AMS 5556 SST or AMS 5570 SST or AMS5571 SST; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: To supply air to the #4 bearing compartment; Anticipated Solicitation Issue Date: 5 May 2004; Anticipated Award Date: 31 June 2004. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. Qualification Requirements (QRs) are not available at this time nor does the Government have in its pocession drawings or drawing notes for this item. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Government Furnished drawings are not available. The award is expected to be made to sole source supplier Unison Industries. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
