Description

The Air Force intends to award a sole source contract to Brown and Sharpe Manufacturing Co., 200 Frenchtown Road, North Kingstown, RI, 02852, for NON-PERSONAL SERVICES to furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, transportation and incidentals necessary to provide preventive and remedial maintenance to the Brown and Sharpe Coordinate Measuring Machine System in accordance with the manufacturer?s specifications and the Statement of Work. The machine is located in building 3001, Tinker AFB OK. The period of performance is 1 Oct 04 to 30 Sep 05. A firm-fixed price (FFP) type contract is contemplated. The estimated award date is no later than 30 Jul 04. Central Contractor Registration is required to receive any award. Contractors can register electronically at http://www.ccr.gov. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
