Description

The Regional Procurement & Support Office, Frankfurt intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) under full and open competition procedures for the construction of an office building for the US AID at the New Embassy Compound (NEC) in Phnom Penh. Construction costs are estimated to range between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The total duration of this contract from the issuance date of the Notice to Proceed to contract completion is about 360 calendar days. Potential contractors shall be in possession of all required permits and licenses to perform general construction work in Cambodia. Contractor shall obtain all locally-required permits and construction- approvals. Communication, correspondence, and documentation must be in English. Travel to Phnom Penh is at the expense of the bidder. There is no provision for reimbursement of proposal costs. Issuance of the subject solicitation is estimated to occur no later than July 9, 2004. A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit may be held a July 22, 2004; further details will be announced later. Closing date for receipt of offers will be two to three weeks after issuance of the solicitation. Contract award is anticipated to occur two weeks thereafter. Solicitation packages will be issued to firms providing written notice of their interest to RPSO, to the attention of Tim Farrell at the above Fax numbers not later than July 13, 2004.
