- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Acquisition Management Superfund Procurement Division Washington, D.C. Sources Sought Synopsis for Small/Disadvantaged/Women-Owned/HUBZone/Veteran-Owned Business Regional Oversight Contracts. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Superfund Procurement Operations Division Washington, D.C. is identifying small, disadvantaged, women-owned, HubZone and veteran-owned businesses for possible participation in upcoming requirements for award of a Warehouse Operations contract in EPA's Region 1 located in the Boston, MA area. The contractor would be responsible for inventory management of equipment including but not limited to the list found at http://www.epa.gov/oamsrpod/ersc/bpa/crosswalk.pdf. The major tasks include: warehouse operations management, equipment management, calibration and maintenance, and transportation services associated with government owned equipment used in emergency responses and counter terrorism hazardous material cleanups. The contractor shall be available for response on a 24-hour, seven day per week basis throughout the New England Region 1 Office for the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.The facility will be government owned and will be provided. The government anticipates awarding a five-year fixed-labor rate contract and the total labor is estimated at $125,000 per year and cost reimbursement for transportation, replacement of inventory, etc. The government anticipates an award with the effective date of April 2005. Firms responding to this sources sought synopsis are requested to provide the USEPA with (1) Two years experience in warehouse operations management (2) Experience with emergency response equipment (3) Two years experience maintaining and calibrating equipment. The anticipated NAICS Code for this procurement is 493190. Responses to the questions must be submitted electronically to David M. Murphy, Contract Specialist by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on July 23, 2004 at Murphy.davidm@epa.gov.
