Description

This is a presolicitation synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires 10 cells of five (5) cooling towers located at SSA?s main complex in Baltimore, MD to be resealed at joining seams with specially formulated Evapliner or equivalent. SSA requires a three (3) year guarantee of not to leak for the resealing of the above mentioned seams. The Contractor shall cut the old fill out of three of the five cooling towers in order to prepare for resealing of the joining seams. Solicitation SSA-RFQ-04-0540 will be available on the website on July 8, 2004. This procurement will be unrestricted. Attached to the solicitation, will be six (6) files: a Request for Quote (RFQ) (PDF) file and five (5) Word documents that contain a Statement Of Work (SOW), applicable commercial clauses (please note, you must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award), representations and certifications (reps and certs), security clause and wage determination. The reps and certs should be completed and submitted with quotes. The associated NAICS code is 238220 and the associated size standard is $12 million.
