- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard has a need for temporary housing for reservists called up for active duty. This requirement is planned for the states of CALIFORNIA, OREGON, AND WASHINGTON. The temporary housing acquisition will be a fixed-price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with the possibility for more than one award depending upon the results of the best value source selection decision. The procurement will be a commercial FAR Part 12 acquisition. The requirement includes the following: additional units shall be available with a 7 days notice, 24 hour cancellation (payment for these units will cease upon proper 24 hours notice and units being vacated), and payment for the units shall be made in arrears based on occupancy. Price, technical compliance, management approach, past performance, and financial information will be required. The period of performance is anticipated to be 01 October 2004 through 30 September 2005 with one option year (01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006). The solicitation will contain specific information and updates. The solicitation should be issued on or about July,16 2004, without further notice. The solicitation will only be issued via FedBizOps Electronic Posting System at www.eps.gov under Vendors, DHS, United States Coast Guard, Commander (fcp)USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Alameda, CA. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be issued. Telephone requests for solicitation package will not be taken. The NAICS code is 721110, with a size standard of $6,000,000. All interested, capable firms are encouraged to download a copy of the forthcoming solicitation and supporting documents from EPS immediately upon posting to ensure that required timeframes are met. Firms are encouraged to register for notification of any amendments to the solicitation.
