Description

THIS PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEWING AND PRINTING IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS. The project consists of tree felling of approximately 537 acres in the Alder and Wash Creeks on the Emmett Ranger District of the Boise National Forest. NAICS code: 115310. Size Standard: $6.0 Million. Estimated start work will be when environmental conditions are right and to be completed by 11/30/05. The project area can be reached from Boise, ID, proceed to Garden Valley, ID on State Highway 55 and Forest Highway 24 (Banks-Lowman road). Travel east from Garden Valley approximately 1.5 miles on FH 24 to Forest Road 615 (Alder Creek). Turn south on FR 615 and take the first left (about one-half mile) onto FR 382. Proceed about one-half mile on FR 382 to the junction with FR 690 (Wash Creek). Turn right (south) onto FR 690 and travel about 5 miles to access the largest portion of the project area. The remainder of the project may be assessed via Forest Roads 615, 610 and 395. Some units may require walk-in. See numbered note #1.
