- Description
- The Daniel Boone National Forest anticipates awarding one or more contracts for shingle, metal, and/or shake roofs under Commercial Item Services. An 11,550 Sq. Ft. shingle roof on the Morehead District Office and Visitor Center will be replaced with either an asphalt shingle or standing seam metal roof. In addition, attic fans, a ridge vent, and soffit vent will be installed. An 1150 Sq. Ft. wood shake roof on a picnic shelter at the Boat Gunnel Picnic Area will be replaced in kind with hand split cedar shakes. Two picnic shelters in the Twin Knobs Group Area will have their 1400 Sq. Ft. wood shake roofs replaced in kind with hand split cedar shakes. Additional details and drawings are available in the referenced solicitation to be posted no later than 7/10/2004. All proposals will be submitted to the listed address for the Monongahela National Forest, Elkins, West Virginia.
