Description
The Division of Cancer Epidemiology & Genetics, National Cancer Institute intends to modify contract N02-CP-21000 with the University of Illinois, in Chicago, Illinois, to add additional retrospective work that involves forms from previous screening cycles that contain modification to the data entered; and add data processing for an in utero component of the thyroid study which includes processing of forms for 1,000 exposed subjects and 1,300 control (not exposed) subjects (approximately 28,359 forms). The personnel that perform this work are located in the Ukraine and Illinois. This action is pursuant to 41 USC 253[c](1) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Number 22 applies as follows: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority 41 U.S.C.253 (c) (1), as set forth by FAR 6.302-1 (b) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No collect calls will be accepted.
