Description

Dollar magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The performance time is 120 calendar days. The work to performed consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment, supplies, and supervision necessary to Paint Exterior of Bldg 532 with an estimated square footage of 76,056 ft. at Charleston AFB, SC. Project number DKFX 06-1020. The work includes, but is not limited to: surface preparation and paint exterior metals and masonry foundations, lead based paint abasement, and pressure washing all portions of vertical walls not painted. This action is being considered 100% set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing, as early as possible, but not later than 27 July 04. As a minimum. The following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone small business concern ; (b) a positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) evidence of the recent experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact and telephone numbers; (d) evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone small business concerns. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone small business concern. If adequate interest is not received from 8(a) concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all small business concerns as well as from HUBZone small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 238320 with a small business size standard of $12,000,000.00 The successful contractor will be selected using Price Perfomance Tradeoff (PPT) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price. Evaluation factors will be set forth in Sections L & M of the solicitation. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 28 JULY 2004 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interest parties to visit this web site frequently for any updates and/or amendments to any and all documents. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for an award.
