Description

This solicitation is unrestricted. Estimated cost of construction is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The NAICS Code assigned is 237990 with a Size Standard of $28,500,000.00. Construction completion is 300 calendar days. Work consists of Renova tion of Conmy Hall, Building 241, Fort Myer Military Community, Virginia. The project consists of the interior demolition, renovation and upgrade of Building 241, Conmy Hall as well as the upgrade/replacement of the theatrical lighting and sound system. Project components include mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life safety, refurbishing wood seating, repair/replacement of floor, wall and ceiling finishes, window treatments, bathroom upgrades, replacement of roll up doors, replace ment of exterior canopies, masonry/concrete of exterior wall repairs, display area for the TOG museum, replacement of existing sound system, theatrical lighting, house lighting and acoustical treatments. This procurement will be advertised as a Request fo r Proposal and will be evaluated for Best Value for award of the project. The evaluation criteria will be in the solicitation package. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Large business firms are requir ed to submit a subcontracting plan at the time for receipt of their proposals. The subcontracting goals are 60% for small business, 20% for small disadvantaged business, 10% for women owned small business, 3% for HUBZone small businesses and 3% for vetera n-owned and 3% for service disabled veteran-owned small businesses. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. Without SBA SDB certification, a prime contractor nor a federal agency can receive SDB credit when utilizing non-certified SDB contractors/subcontractors. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE PROVIDED IN AN ELECTRONIC FORMAT, FREE OF CHARGE, TO ALL REGISTERED PLAN HOLDERS. TH E MEDIA THROUGH WHICH THE GOVERNMENT CHOOSES TO ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ON THE WEB SITE; THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED IN PAPER. IN ORDER TO REGISTER EACH CONTRACTOR MUST HAVE A VALID DUN & BRADSTREET NUMBER AND CAGE CODE NUMBER ASSIGNED FOR THE SPECIFIC LOCATION BEING REGISTERED AND ALSO BE REGISTERED IN TH E CENTRAL CONTRACTOR DATABASE. EACH CONTRACTOR NEED ONLY REGISTER ONCE FOR EACH SOLICITATION. ONLY REGISTERED PLAN HOLDERS WILL BE PROVIDED THE SOLICITATION.
