- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, intends to award a firm-fixed price contract for seven (7) solid-state recorders, twenty (20) 25GB memory modules, ten (10) MDDS-4 video playback software, and ten (10) firewire interface units on a sole source basis to TEAC Aerospace Technologies, 1724 Gage Road, Montebello, CA 90640, because of NAWCWD requirement to provide support to F/A-18 aircraft which utilizes the MDR-80. The Navy has chosen the MDR-80 as replacement for the current Cockpit Video Recording System (CVRS) recorder in selected aircraft. Because some of these aircraft will be located here at China Lake, the infrastructure to handle the recorded video data must be installed and maintained here. Respondents, other than the above, should submit, at a minimum, their qualifications and any other information considered pertinent to the requirement to the Contract Specialist within 5 days after publication of synopsis. Delivery is to China Lake, CA, FOB Destination, 6-8 months ARO. The anticipated award date is 31 August 2004.
