Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award sole source Contract N00024-04-C-4310 to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems of 65 Marcus Drive, Melville, NY 11747 for Design Agent and Technical/Engineering Services in support of the AN/SPQ-9B Radar System Program. If all options are exercised, the Contractor shall provide up to 108,386 hours of Design Agent and Technical/Engineering Services n ecessary to support special studies, failure analysis, engineering change proposal investigation and other developmental efforts associated with the AN/SPQ-9B Radar System Program. This effort will commence during the 4th Quarter of FY04 and provides for options through FY08. Northrop Grumman Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and the sole producer of the AN/APQ-9B Radar System. Therefore, no other firm possesses the technical expertise necessary to perform the work that will be required by the Government. The contract will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This synopsis is for informational purposes only, for the benefit of potential subcontractors. The government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source identified herein.
