- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for the opening, inspection, and repair of four each Pitch Setters, Stock Number 2010-12-302-7122, NW Propeller Operations P/N 8347280 (TYPE N3). These Pitch Setters shall be opened, inspected, and repaired in accordance with current OEM design and technical specifications. Only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) replacement parts shall be utilized. Contractor shall be required to submit an Inspection Report, for approval, for each Pitch Setter prior to the initiation of any repairs. It is the Government's belief that only NW Propeller Operations, the Original Equipment Manufacturer, and/or their authorized repair facilities have the capability to successfully repair these Pitch Setters to a condition that shall restore the operating and performance characteristics to the OEM's original design and technical specifications utilizing only OEM replacement parts. The original design and technical specifications are proprietary to the OEM and are NOT available from this office. Therefore, it is the Government's intent to award a Purchase Order to NW Propeller Operations. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate their capabilities by submitting information describing their capabilities no later than seven calendar days from the date this notice is published. The information submitted must include (1) verification that these items have been successfully repaired for the Government and/or the OEM; and (2) verification that the required design and technical specifications can be obtained from the OEM. This data must be sufficient enough to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Information received after the established deadline shall not be considered for this acquisition. Delivery of the repaired items shall be F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Baltimore, MD, 21226, no later than 60 calendar days after receipt of Government-Furnished Equipment. Request For Quotation Number HSCG40-04-Q-60020 shall be posted on FedBizOpps on or about July 19, 2004. The closing date for receipt of quotations shall be no later than July 21, 2004.
