Description
ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR, NAVAL AIR STATION, MERIDIAN, MS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY. DO NOT REQUEST SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS UNTIL THE RFQ IS ISSUED. The RFQ will be issued on or about 2 August 2004 and will be available at http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research to identify business concerns that are registered in CCR and classified under the NAICS code listed for this procurement. Interested business concerns must submit to this office NLT close of business 26 July 2004, ATTN Lisa Harris via, fax (601) 679-2147 or email harrisla@efdsouth.navfac.navy.mil the following: 1) A statement that your firm is interested in the project listed below. 2) A copy of the 8(a), SMALL BUSINESS or HUBZONE CERTIFICATION LETTER issued to your firm by the Small Business Administration or statement stating that you are a Large Business Concern 3) Indicate that you are certified under the NAICS code listed below. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED WORK: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, equipment, tools, and transportation required for maintaining approximately eight (8) elevators, in a continuously safe, reliable, and satisfactory operating condition and to perform all inspections and tests as required. Included with this scope of work is routine and emergency service calls. A Mechanic shall be on site ready to service elevator within three (3) hours of receiving call for emergency service work. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The contract term shall be for a period of one year (12 months) commencing 1 October 2004 and ending 30 September 2005. The work shall be located at the Naval Air Station, approximately 12 miles north of Meridian, MS and the outlying OLF Joe Williams Air Field located approx. 35 miles north of NAS MERIDIAN MS. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this work is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors (The repair and maintenance of miscellaneous building equipment is included in this industry). The associated Small Business size standard is $12.0 Million. This is not a request for proposals and no solicitation is available at this time. The Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The business Set-Aside or Preference Program will be determined after review and evaluation of market survey responses. The estimated range is below $25,000 for the base year.
