Qty 16 - Custom Off-Axis Parabolas Qty 18 - Custom Flat Mirrors Qty 1 - Coatings 90 Degrees Prism Split Mirror Qty 1 - Coatings Description: This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Statement of Work: Zerodur, Diameter: physical aperture (P.A.) = 0.995/1.000 inches, clear aperture 95% of P.A., 100 mm focal length, 30-40 mm off-axis, accuracy lambda/15 P-V (SFE) over CA, best effort for lamda/20 @ 633 nm, 40-20 scratch-dig. The off-axis distance, although it can be between 30 and 40 mm off-axis, once a distance is chosen, all sixteen pieces shall have the same off-axis distance to within 0.001 inches. Back (rear) surface (to be used as an alignment aid) flat to 2 fringes, and back (rear) surface shall be perpendicular to parent optical axis to within +/- 20 arc seconds. The back (rear) surface shall also have a fiducial etched in the rear surface referencing the position of the off-axis distance relative to the parent parabola. Front (optical) surface shall have a bare gold coating and the back/rear (alignment tool) surface shall have a protected aluminum coating. Award will be based upon overall best value to the Government, with consideration given to the factors of proposed technical merits, price; other critical requirements (i.e., delivery) if so stated in RFQ will also be considered. Unless otherwise stated in solicitation, for selection purposes, technical, price, are essentially equal in importance. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer (see FAR 52.212-1(b). The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 333314 and 500, respectively. The anticipated release date of RFQ NNG04068299 is on or about 07/09/2004 with an anticipated proposal due date of on or about 07/26/2004. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
