- Description
- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Sole-Source Request for Proposal for a Light Emitting Diode (LED) Lighting System that will be primarily a research unit produced to support scientific experimentation for research in photosynthesis and photomorphogenesis and for ground applications in salad and staple crop production. NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Orbital Technologies Corporation., out of Madison, WI, in accordance with the statutory authority U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). This is a sole-source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Orbital Technologies Corporation has been identified as the only known responsible source to complete the requirement. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP). This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing by mail, fax, or email to Mr. Rob Wolfinger not later than 12 NOON KSC local tine on Wednesday, July 14, 2004.
