Description
The Program Support Center has a requirement for the Office on Womens Health to design, develop and implement or enhance an already existing preventive health project in the areas of diabetes/obesity or cancer. The Government intends to solicit responses for this requirement from the 12 active first, second and third generation National Centers of Excellence in Women?s Health (CoEs), i.e. Boston University; Magee-Womens Hospital; MCP Hahnemann d/b/a/ Drexel University; Harvard Medical School; Indiana University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of California, San Francisco; University of Illinois, Chicago; University of Michigan; University of Puerto Rico; University of Wisconsin, Madison and the 12 active first, second and third generation National Community Centers of Excellence in Women?s Health (CCoEs), i.e Christiana Care Health Services; Griffin Hospital; Hennepin County Primary Care Department; Jefferson Health System; Kokua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services; Mariposa Community Health Center; Morton Plant Hospital; Northeast Missouri Health Council, Inc.; NorthEast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc.; Northeastern Vermont Area Health Education Center; St. Barnabas Hospital and Healthcare System & Hospital; and Womens Health Services. Complete addresses for the CoEs and CCoEs can be found on the OWH website: www.4woman.gov/owh/. This requirement has been justified in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Up to 24 one-year, fixed price awards utilizing FAR Subpart 13 Simplified Acquisition procedures may be awarded. Specifically, each contractor shall design, develop and implement or enhance an already existing preventive health project focused on diabetes/obesity or cancer. The project shall target one of the following 4 CoE/CCoE components: (1) clinical practice; (2) patient and provider education/training; (3) public education/outreach; and (4) research. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to expand the source list for this competitive procurement.
