Description

The General Services Administration (GSA) intends to procure on a sole-source basis an Access Control Reader System which will be able to handle the entire GSC-IS (Government Smart Card Interoperability Specification) v2.1 compliant SEIWG data string (Security Equipment Integration Working Group) or other unique identifier that may replace SEIWG by approval of the IAB (Interoperability Advisory Board) or GSA. The system must also be able to easily grant access to GSA associates or tenants from outside our region that have been granted smart cards through the GSA Nationwide ID program. This requirement includes the removal and replacement of approximately 30 existing proximity card readers as well as a back-end system that will directly interface with our existing AuthentX national card issuance system. The card readers must be able to read ISO 7816 compliant card, and provide a numeric key pad for secondary access verification.
