Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture(USDA) requires a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management Program (IPM) for USDA Complex which includes the following buildings and the square feet of each building: Agriculture South Building-2,056,410 square feet; Jamie L. Whitten Building-463,750 square feet; Agriculture Cotton Annex Building-90,829 square feet; Sydney L. Yates Building-116,203 square feet, all buildings are located in Washington, DC. The purpose of this IPM program is to have a reasonably pest free buildings without residuals affects on users or the environment. The major goal of this IPM program is to develop and implement a comprehensive IPM program for the above mentioned USDA buildings and premises, including all interior areas and exterior grounds. The specific objectives of the project are to develop an IPM program that established strategies and methods for conducting a safe, effective and environmentally sound pest management program; implement the IPM program through monitoring and inspection to identify pest problems and pest population levels any procedural and structual deficiencies contributing to pest infestations;suppress pest infestations in a safe, effective and environmentally sound manner with short-term corrective solutions and long-term preventive solutions;recommend to USDA and implement long-term actions that aid in overall pest suppression, particularly in the areas of sanitation, waste management and building repair/alteration activities. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials and equipment necessary to develop and implement an IPM program for the above-mentioned USDA buildings and premises. The NAICS code is 561710; size standard $6.0 million; 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. The contract will be for one (1) base year with four(4) option renewal years to be excerised by the Government if found to be in its best interest. This contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price. THE SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The solicitation release date is July 12,2004. The solicitation will be available and distributed solely through the Government Point of Entry (GPE) Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbidopps.gov. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation/amendments will be distributed solely through the web site. Interested parties must obtain a DUNS number and register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR)(www.ccr.gov)in order to transact business with USDA. This procurement will be conducted in accordance with FAR Par 12, Commerical Items procedures.
