Description

The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) intends to negotiate with General Atomics 3550 General Atomics Court, San Diego CA 92121-1122 on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract requirement is for upgrading an Erie Hyd raulic press to be in compliance with all current electrical and OSHA requirements. This press will be integrated into the cryofracture facility test bed to be installed at USAYPG by General Atomics. General Atomics is the original cryofracture facility designer and possess the proprietary schematics and specifications for upgrading the press for functionality with the cryofracture facility. All technical data relative to the system is proprietary to General Atomics. Interested parties may submit techni cal literature showing their capabilities no later than 2:00 PM MST on July 20, 2004. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to th is notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Due to the fact the components of this upgrade are commercial in nature, Not e 22 that applies, time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 7 days instead of 45 days.
