Description
The Kingman Bureau of Land Management will be moving their office the week of August 2, 2004. We are seeking professional moving companies in the Kingman Area who would be interested in the move. The moving company must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). They must locatated in the Kingman area and less than 30 miles from the office. The Contractor shall be required to remove all specified office furniture, equipment, supplies, etc. (hereafter called Property) from the current BLM office location, transport the property to the new BLM office location and place the property in the new location. All services will be in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in the sections below LOCATION Current Location: 2475 Beverly Avenue, Kingman AZ. 86401 New Location: 2755 Mission Blvd., Kingman AZ. 86401 SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY THE CONTRACTOR: 1. Provision of all equipment for the safe and efficient moving and transportation of property. 2. Picking up and loading the property from present location and unloading at the new location as specified by the BLM move coordinators. 3. Transporting vertical file cabinets, map cabinets, plat files, safes, and small parts cabinets with contents intact. 4. Transporting boxed files, books, office supplies, etc. 5. Provide one supervisor/foreman at the current building and one supervisor foreman at the new building to oversee the loading and unloading of property. The supervisor foreman will coordinate directly with the BLM site coordinator at each location. 6. All contractor employees must wear clothing with the contractors name or logo or identification labels with the employees name and the name or the contractor on the label worn in a clear and visible manner. 7. The Contractor is responsible for protecting all floors, walls, doors, carpeting, finishes, etc in both the current and new locations from damage and soil during the move. Protective material such as masonite, plywood, or other coverings cannot be bolted, glued, or otherwise attached to the walls, floors, ceilings, doors, etc. Any protective materials must be free-standing or braced so as not to damage the walls, floors, doors, etc. Damage caused to either building by the Contractor or Contractors employees will be promptly (within 30 days) repaired at the expense of the Contractor. 8. Contractor is responsible for moving Boxes marked Official Records and numbered sequentially using the following protocol: All official records will be loaded on one truck, with the contractor's representative and BLM Records representative overseeing the loading and using a checklist by sequential number to ensure that each box is loaded. . BLM records representative will ride in the Truck or follow behind the truck to the new building. Official Records will be unloaded at the new building and placed in the library and will be checked in by the BLM records representative and the Contractor's representative using the same checklist used at the loading site. 9. Contractor will provide boxes suitable for packing and transporting 45 computers. Contractor will pack the computers into the boxes. 10. The contractor will provide up to 800 boxes to the BLM between July 19, and July 29, 2004. 11. Contractor is responsible for repair or replacement of any property damaged during the move The move can be conducted between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm each day. It is the responsibility of the bidder to gather all information regarding difficulties which may be encountered during the move. Failure to investigate the property, current and new buildings and any other conditions does not relieve the bidder from assuming all responsibility required by this contract. Attachment A.
