Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a cost plus fixed fee contract to Aletheon Technologies, 224 Rolling Hills Road, Suite 9A, Mooresville, NC 28117, for oversight and computational analysis support to the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Program. This support includes development and delivery of modifications to Government-owned input decks to existing Computational Shock Physics (CSP) codes and performance of CSP code calculations using these modified input decks. These input decks were originally developed by personnel employed by Aletheon. These individuals possess the irreplaceable fundamental experience and functioning knowledge on which the original input decks were built upon. As such, Aletheon is the only source with the requisite knowledge, expertise and experience to develop and deliver modifications to the input decks. The period of performance will be from date of contract for twelve months thereafter, with two options for an additional twelve months each. This contract will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
