- Y—Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, supervision & inspection required to complete the following four (4) new construction projects: (1) Construct a new 1,800 SF Visitors Center with a brick exterior, standing seam metal roof, HVAC, fire detection/protection & security features required for force protection/antiterrorism; (2) Construct a new 1,600 SF Truck Checkpoint facility to house truck inspections and associated equipment, the facility shall have metal siding, brick wainscot, standing seam metal roof, overhead doors, telephone outlets, fire detection & security features required for force protection; (3) Relocate Gate House, construct a new 120 SF gate house with a brick exterior, standing seam metal roof, HVAC, fire detection/protection and security features required for force protection/antiterrorism, demolition of existing gate house, reconfiguration of the entry road, canopy over inbound inspection lanes, installation of a traffic island, vehicle turn-around, security lighting & all utilities & (4) Construct new Road, standard construction: 12” sub-base coarse, 4” dense binder & 1.5” of top coarse, to the west parking lot of Bldg 800 and to the central parking lot west of Bldg 802, removal of that portion of Kirkbridge Rd west of the west-most parking lot entrance to Bldg 800 and return to green area (lawnscape). Work to be performed at the 914 Airlift Wing, Niagara Falls ARS, Niagara County, NY. Performance Time: 300 calendar days total for all four (4) projects. Potential offerors should request RFP FA6670-04-R-0006 in writing, by letter, email colleen.pollick@niagarafalls.af.mil or fax (716) 236-2357. Tentative issue date on or about 30 Jul 04 with RFP closing date approximately 30 days thereafter. The NAICS Code is 236220, the SIC Code is 1542, and the small business size standard is $28.5 Million. A single Firm fixed-price construction contract will be awarded. Solicitation is Full & Open Competition with an evaluation preference for HUBZone concerns. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 & $5,000,000. All offerors MUST be registered in the CCR for award. Bid, Payment & Performance Bonds will be required.
