Description
PROPULSION SYSTEMS THAT ENHANCE THE ORBITAL TRANSPORTATION OF DOD SPACE ASSETS. The Integrated High Payoff Rocket Propulsion Technology (IHPRPT) program continues to be a vital Department of Defense / National Aeronautics and Space Administration (DoD/NASA) and industry effort. IHPRPT was established to strengthen the technology base of DoD and commercial rocket propulsion systems through the development of advanced, innovative rocket propulsion technology. AFRL/PRSS intends to hold an Industry Conference to provide information related to an advanced technology development effort for a propulsion system for future DoD space assets. This will be a complete propulsion system, comprised of thruster, propellant feed system, and power processing unit. Legitimate entities capable of receiving ITAR restricted information and interested in participating in this market research should attend an Industry Day to be held at AFRL/PRS, Edwards AFB, CA on Wednesday 14 January 2004. Only U.S. contractors who are registered and certified with the Defense Logistics Services Center (DLSC), Federal Center, Battle Creek, Michigan 49017-3084 (800-352-3572) that have a legitimate business purpose or who are teamed with one of the registered contractors will be allowed to attend. If you are registered with the DLSC, you must submit a copy of the approved DD Form 2345, Military Critical Technical Data Agreement, with your visit request to Dr. Frank Gulczinski (661-275-6796) no later than 7 January 2004. Discussion topics may include: 1) clarity and content of topic description, 2) amount and distribution of funding, 3) period of performance for contemplated effort, and 4) feedback on RFI (FA9300-04-RFI) responses to those participants who submitted a response. The Industry Conference will consist of two sessions. The first session at 0800, 14 January 2004, will consist of presentations to all conference attendees. The second session on 14 January 2004 will consist of one-on-one sessions between the government and individual firms.
