- Description
- The project consists of crack sealing on about 8.3 miles of the above road and a bituminous surface treatment (chip seal) on about 4.3 miles (70,600 sq. yd.) of the same road. The first 1-1/2 mile has some major transverse cracks about 3 inches deep by 1 inch wide extending most of the way across the roadway on about a 50 foot spacing. The remaining 6-1/2 miles only has a few of the large transverse cracks. The whole 8.3 miles of road has a very low number of small longitudinal cracks per mile of road. The project is located on the Ashley National Forest on East Park Road approximately 22 miles North of Vernal, UT. The project can be reached by taking State Highway 191 North from Vernal to the Red Cloud Loop Turnoff onto FDR 018 then proceed to FDR 020. Show me trip is tentativly scheduled for August 10, 2004 at 1100 am at the start of the project. Project is estimated between $100,000 - $250,000. Solicitation package will be available on Fedbizopps on approx 08/26/2004.
