- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Nittany Scientific, Inc. Riverton, UT, for Active High-Power Transmit-Receive Directional Ultrawideband Antenna Set for use in TFC (Tetra Fluoro Carbon)and air-cooled communications/IW systemss with integrated electronic components onboard Navy submarines. The required antenna is a set of ruggedized directional ultrawideband antennas very high power output/low consumption, reliability and resilience under varied operating conditions (liquid, pressure, temperature, movement etc.), optimized for the 0.1GHz to 2.5GHz frequency range with an extended operating distance. The antenna is to be integrated in a submarine system with very constrained space requirements. The antenna dimensions, weight and performance must enable it to perform within the required parameters of the platform. Nittany Scientific, Inc is OEM of the requ ired antenna. Delivery within 90 days of ordering date. FOB destination to Monterey,CA. Anticipate award date 28 July 2004. Justification and Authority is FAR 6.302-1.
