- Description: THIS NOTICE IS NOT INTENDED TO SOLICIT INTEREST FROM NEW CONTRACTORS FOR THIS RFP, BUT TO NOTIFY POTENTIAL SUBCONTRACTORS OF THE PRIME CONTRACTORS SELECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SECOND PHASE OF THIS TWO-PHASE DESIGN BUILD PROJECT. Phas e one has concluded and offerors have been selected to proceed to Phase Two. The following offerors will be provided RFP documents and invited to participate in Phase Two: (1) Caddell Construction Co., Inc., 2700 Lagoon Park Drive, Montgomery, AL 36109, (334) 272-7723 (2) Clark Design/Build, LLC, 3917 Riga Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33619, (813) 630-4422 (3) B.L.Harbert International, LLC/Bill Harbert International Construction, Inc., A Joint Venture, 820 Shades Creek Parkway, Suite 3000, Birmingham, AL 352 09. Phase Two documents will be issued on or about 16 July 2004. Phase Two proposals will be due on or about 16 August 2004. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will also be available on or about 7/16/04 on the internet at: http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. Amendments to this solicitation will b e posted on the internet at the above address unless the total amended compressed files are greater than 5 MBYTES, in which case a new CD ROM disk will be issued. Description of work: Design and construct a barracks complex at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Wor k includes barracks buildings (approximately 122,976 SF), battalion headquarters building (approximately 16,390 SF), company operations facilities (approximately 85,995 SF) and covered equipment layout areas (approximately 22,020 SF). Supporting facilitie s include utilities; electric service; security lighting; sewer and storm drainage; paving, walks, curbs and gutters; parking; information systems; and site improvements. Demolition of existing buildings (approximately 153,000 SF), including asbestos remo val and lead based paint abatement, is required at multiple locations on Ft. Stewart. COST RANGE: $10,000,000 to $50,000,000. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, offers the Best Value to the Government, price and technical factors considered.
