- THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION IS TO CHANGE THE TITLE OF SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT 2004-R-062 FROM ?EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS INTEGRATION? TO ?EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEMS (ENS).? AND CHANGE ALL INSTANCES OF ?EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS (ECS)? TO EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEMS (ENS)?IN THE DESCRIPTION. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY TO PRE-QUALIFY VENDORS. THERE IS NOT A SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS IS NOT A FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The United States Senate currently has an emergency notification environment which consists of several systems, used independently to disseminate emergency information to targeted individuals and groups. The SAA, in conjunction with the United States Capitol Police (USCP), is seeking a front end system that integrates multiple emergency notification systems (ENS) allowing a single point of message entry that propagates to all intended recipients using these existing systems incorporating various technologies and devices. This front end system must be able to send emergency alerts, notifications, and updates to targeted individuals and groups via telephones, cell phones (SMS), pagers, Blackberry devices, e-mail accounts or other communication technologies that may exist. Tasks: The Vendor shall provide the implementation of all front end system equipment and related hardware, software, installation, on-site training, documentation, warranty, maintenance and support required for a front end system integrating multiple ENS. The SAA invites all qualified sources to respond to this sources sought announcement. Responses to this sources sought request are due to the POC no later than July 30, 2004 12:00 Noon EDT and shall be submitted electronically only via e-mail to acquisitions@saa.senate.gov. The response shall not exceed twenty (20) pages. The subject line of the email message should be 2004-S-062 ENS. To respond you must also provide the following: 1) General Information about your firm * Company Name: * Address: * Point of Contact Telephone Number E-mail address * GSA Schedule Number (if applicable) * DUNS Number * Tax ID Number; 2) A statement indicating an interest and a description of the capability to provide an ENS; 3) A statement of relevant experience; and 4) Three past performance contract references demonstrating your firm?s experience implementing a system for use with ENS using multiple technologies. The past performance references must provide: a) Name of the Customer/Company; b) Name and phone number of the primary contact with Customer/Company. c) Brief description of contract; and d) Contract value (total). Access to information in any files attached to the response is the responsibility of the submitting party. The SAA is not responsible for any failure to access information. Only pre-qualified vendors will be permitted to submit proposals. The information supplied in response to this sources sought announcement will be used to pre-qualify vendors that will be invited to submit proposals. Vendors responding to this sources sought notice and deemed qualified by the SAA will be placed on a solicitation mailing list. If suitable responses are received from qualified sources, the SAA anticipates release of a solicitation in August 2004. Telephone or e-mail requests for additional information will not be honored. The Senate or the SAA will not be responsible for any costs for the preparation of responses to this announcement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
