- Description
- The Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center has a requirement for on-site pharmaceutical packaging services and associated support services and the supplies for ready packaging for an estimated 70,066 units of medication in a McKesson brand VAMC-owned ROBOT-RX?, with an estimated quantity of 840,792 units annually. The Contractor shall provide full or part-time qualified pharmaceutical technicians trained and experienced in performing both over-wrap and bulk packaging of medications through use of a McKesson ROBOT-RX?. Contractor personnel will be responsible for such things as monitoring and managing off-line inventory levels, completion of in-house ROBOT-RX? ready packaging for all medications not available from the wholesaler in a ROBOT-RX? ready format, monitoring inventory of supplies required for the operation of the packager, data usage reports, daily restocking/repackaging reports, inputs into computer database for ROBOT-RX? inventory reports, and coordinating maintenance of the packaging equipment, etc. The resultant contract period shall be for a base year beginning October 1, 2004, with four one-year options subject to availability of funds.
