- Description
- The Department of Air Force is seeking qualified entities for a Military Housing Privatization project for Air Education and Training Command (AETC) Group I (Altus AFB OK, Luke AFB AZ, Sheppard AFB TX and Tyndall AFB FL). This project involves a real estate transaction to privatize all of the military family housing at these four bases into one initiative. The Government will lease approximately 1370 acres of land at the four bases for 50 years and convey 3793 existing housing units and other improvements to one successful offeror. The successful offeror will own and operate the rental housing development of 2875 homes at the four bases for military families for 50 years, as well as finance, plan, design, and construct improvements in the development. A Financial Forum for commercial Lenders will be conducted at the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Center in Dallas TX on Wednesday, 1 September 2004, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. This forum will include general briefings on the Air Education and Training Command One-step Request for Proposal and their base grouping methodology. The objective of the Financial Forum is to convey pertinent information on the project and to gain insight into the Financial Lender?s position on how to improve the project financially. Individual sessions will be scheduled during the forum for Lenders to ask pertinent questions for each base and the concept as a whole and to provide their ideas on how this project could be financed. A separate Developer?s Industry Forum will be held at a later date and will be announced separately.
