Description
1650-01-012-6490, P/N 65-5473-2, QUANTITY: 2 EA. Applicable to E3 A,B,& C. Housing Assy is made up of the housing 65-5473-3 and 8 sleeves. It has a block like design with a number of parts and mechanism holes. The assy is approximately 6 inches X 3 inches X 1 ? inches and contains all working parts used in the gust snubber assy. It consists of aluminum and steel. Destination: FMS requirement. THE SURPLUS REQUIREMENT IS FOR NEW AND UNUSED SURPLUS ONLY. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTION TO ACCEPT USED/OVERHAULED SURPLUS. Qualification requirements are set forth in OC-ALC Source Approval Information Booklet. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufactures that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality, can be considered approved sources for this item. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
