- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for fuels management services to enhance forest health, improve wildlife habitat and improve safety on the Campbell Tract in Anchorage, Alaska. The project will include the removal of dead and down material (Spruce), thinning approximately 1 acre of over mature Aspen and the removal of other species, fencing approximately 3 acres for aspen regeneration purposes and revegetation of unused aircraft taxiways and hardstands. The services are designed to improve forest health and provide for visitor safety through the removal of hazard trees. This includes furnishing labor, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals to perform all work necessary to accomplish the required services. The period of performance will begin on or about September 27, 2004 and continue for approximately eight months. This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS 115310. This solicitation will be available on or about July 27, 2004. A pre-proposal site tour will be held on July 29, 2004 at 9:00 at the BLM Campbell Tract Facility, 6881 Abbott Loop Road, Anchorage, Alaska.
