Description

Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for the demolition and removal of existing construction and work required to complete the addition and renovation as required for the Spinal Cord Injury Unit (SCIU) Outpatient Clinical Expansion, Building 801, Downtown Division, VA Medical Center, 800 Bailie Drive, Augusta, Georgia, in strict accordance with plans and specifications. The work is identified as: ITEM I, Bid Item 1: Furnish all necessary labor, materials, and equipment for the demolition and removal of existing construction, and work required to complete the addition and renovation as required for the SCIU Outpatient Clinical Expansion, Downtown Division, VA Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia. Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work necessary to complete the addition and renovation of the Spinal Cord Injury Unit as required by drawings and specifications. ALTERNATE BID ITEM NO. 1: All work contemplated in Bid Item 1 EXCEPT all work related to ?Phase One? construction as outlined on sheets 801-A1.2 and 801-A7.6. Delete all labor, material, and equipment required to construct Phase One of this project. Also refer to all architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical drawings and specifications for complete scope of work. ALTERNATE BID ITEM NO. 2: All work contemplated in Bid Item 1 EXCEPT all work related to re-stripping metal canopy over Lot J and the Greenhouse 1E-127 as outlined on drawings 801-A2.1, 801-A18.1, 801-A6.1 and 801-A7.5. Delete all labor, material, and equipment to construct the canopy over Parking Lot J and the Greenhouse in the courtyard. The construction of the new sidewalks, H.C. ramp, and entrance to remain. Omit all canopy work as shown on P-1/A18.1 and omit all work for Greenhouse 1E-127 as shown on P-5/A7.5. Refer to all architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical drawings and specifications for complete scope of work. Applicable NAICS Code is 236220. Cost range is between $2,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Procurement is 100% set-aside for 8(a) small business concerns. Only one (1) pre-site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 10:00 am. Interested parties are to assembly in the Downtown Division VA Medical Center, Bldg. 801, Main Lobby.
