- Description
- The United States Government Printing Office has a requirement to have machinery built that will take folded three up passsport books with chip inlays and automatically feed the books into a machine. it will read each chip in the books and mark the books that are not functioning. Two or more bad books per strip will be ejected by the machine. The machine will read, write and intialize the chip, meeing the ICAO standrds. The machine must have the following features: Loader for automatic feeding; double book detector; automatically mark flawed books; ejector for two or more bad books per strip; capablitiy to initalize chip with proper encoding for use in reading and writing under the ICAO epassport standard; machine will run 24 to 26 strips per minute.
