- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for on-site food service to be awarded under the authority of the Judiciary Procurement Program Procedures (JP3). The U.S. Courts for the District of Columbia Circuit have a requirement for on-site food service at the E. Barrett Prettyman United States Courthouse located at 333 Constitution Ave., NW, Washington, DC, 20001. The contractor shall establish and operate the food service facilities on a profit/loss basis. The term of the contract is one base-year with four one-year options, beginning October 1, 2004. The contract will be awarded under the authority of the Judiciary Procurement Program Procedures (JP3), http://www.uscourts.gov/procurement/procureindex.htm. The contractor will provide breakfast and lunch service Monday through Friday, except federal holidays. Service includes eat-in and carry-out options. The contractor shall serve food, beverages, and other items as approved, in a cafeteria setting and provide catering services as needed for working meals, meetings, and receptions. The current cafeteria facility is located in the basement of the courthouse, however, a new cafeteria facility will be located in an annex to the courthouse which is scheduled to be completed during 2005. The contractor shall relocate operations to the new facility at such time. The contractor shall be responsible for moving its own inventory, furnishings, supplies, and equipment to the new facility. Food service patrons consist primarily of building occupants. The building population is approximately 500 plus approximately 200 visitors daily. The courts guarantee no participation rate. The courts shall be under no obligation to order catering services from the contractor and are free to engage the services of another caterer outside the scope of this contract. There will be a guided site visit to the current cafeteria facility on July 28, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Potential offerors are responsible for obtaining the solicitation, amendments, and any other documentation from the www.fedbizopps.gov website.
