Description

The purpose of this Modification #01 is to post questions and answers related to this procurement. Question 1: ...regarding item 26.Swing bucket rotor for 13x100ml (Qty1). The volume and number of buckets specified is unusual. Should the specification be for a rotor that holds 13mm x 100mm test tubes rather than a rotor that hold 13x100ml tubes? Will a rotor fitted 4 swinging buckets, each capable of holding 250ml be acceptable? Answer: Swing bucket rotor with four buckets for 100 ml tubes (size of tubes 13 mm x 100 mm); should be compatible with item 25. Question 2: ?regarding Item 17 ... 0.1ng of EtBr stained DNA. The specification is part of the Photodocumentation system. It seems to reference "EtBr" ethidium bromide staining compound and a quantity of test DNA. Are we supposed to include a DNA sample stained with EtBr? Does "0.1ng" reference a detection limit for the camera? Please elaborate on what this specification means. Answer: 0.1ng of EtBr stained DNA means that the sensitivity of Photodocumentation system should be not more than 0.1ng visible strain of DNA. The company doesn't need to include a sample of DNA with EtBr. [End of Modification]
