- Description
- A Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit will be held at Defense Distribution Center, Jacksonville, FL on August 11 & 12, 2004, commencing at 0800. To arrange attendance at the conference e-mail Mr. Dennis Luquette at dennis.luquette@dla.mil. Registration for the conferences/solicitation review is unlimited, however, no more than two representatives per company will be allowed on the site tour. The site tour for DDJF NAS Jacksonville will be all day on August 11th and the Site visit to Mayport will be the morning of August 12th with the conference during the afternoon. A schedule and agenda will be posted to Fed Biz Ops. The cut-off for registration is August 4, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. Companies that have registered for the previous scheduled site visit need not resubmit information sheets, but must verify attendance plans by email to Mr. Dennis Luquette. In accordance with 52.237-1 Site Visit (Apr 1984) Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. The purpose of the conference is to provide the Government an opportunity to present solicitation terms and conditions explain and provide clarity to the agency?s expectation in performance. Questions will not be entertained at the time of the pre-proposal conference. All questions resulting from the pre-proposal conference and the RFP must be submitted in writing in the format described in General Information, paragraph 1, either by e-mail to Mr. Dennis Luquette or mailed to address in block 7 of the SF 33 of the solicitation, and must be received no later than August 23, 2004. Remarks and explanations provided at the conference shall be considered to supersede or otherwise qualify any of the terms of this solicitation unless formally incorporated by amendment.
