Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to rehabilitate approximately 950 feet of the Rhododendron Trail at the Ocoee Whitewater Center. In addition, contractor shall construct one wooden truss bridge, 300 ft. of completed 6 ft wide trail surface and 265 ft of 7 ft clear width elevated boardwalk. Additive Item 1: Construct 1000 ft. of 6 ft wide trail and one wooden truss bridge, site adjustment at TVA No. 3 powerhouse concrete bridge. Additive Item 2: Construct 1000 ft of 6 ft finished treadwidth trail, one 20 ft x 6 ft rock wall. Additive Item 3: Construct 1000 ft of trail and one log stringer bridge. Additive Item 4: Construct 1200 ft of 6 ft finished treadwidth and two log stringer bridges. Additive Item 5: Construct 700 ft of finished treadwidth and connect with elevated boardwalk. Note: Contractor?s trail width during construction phase can be up to 7 ft wide for equipment. Contract time is 180 calendar days from effective date of Notice to Proceed. Desired date to start work is 9/27/2004. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: between $100,000 and $250,000. PROJECT LOCATION: Cherokee National Forest, in Polk County, Tennessee. From Cleveland, TN, take Hwy 64 East toward Ducktown, TN, approximately 29 miles from Cleveland, to the US Forest Service Ocoee Whitewater Center. One end of the trail shall be located at the river left side of the recreation site across the second bridge, which is downstream of the building. The trail will run along the sideslope from this bridge for 1.3 miles to the concrete bridge at TVA Powerhouse #3. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: The solicitation, IFB SAZ 04-04-38, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as an Invitation for Bid and will be available for downloading on or about August 5, 2004. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor. The Interested Vendor?s List will be the only Bidder?s List maintained for this procurement.
