- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), intends to procure professional services for the construction of the Laboratory addition and site improvements at the National Marine Fisheries Service in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The addition to an existing laboratory building and site improvements generally include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) General site demolition to include removal of miscellaneous trees and bushes, sidewalks, chain-link fencing, and limited architectural/electrical/mechanical material at Laboratory interface at existing building; (2) General Civil work to include site grading, concrete sidewalks, patios, and pads, chain-link fencing, and water and sanitary connections; (3) Installation of light gage metal stud framed building (100?-0? x 35?-8?) on shallow continuous concrete spread footings with steel roof joist and metal roof decking; (4) Installation of interior architectural finishes for office, bath, and conference room spaces; (5) Installation of exterior architectural finishes including windows, stucco walls, and built up roofing over rigid insulation; (6) Installation of plumbing associated with bathrooms; (7) Installation of interior electrical/mechanical systems; and (8) General site electrical utilities. The size of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This is a 100% small business set aside project. The NAICS code is 236220 and the small business size standard is a maximum of $28.5 million average annual gross revenue for the last three fiscal years. The completion time for this project is 365 calendar days. It is anticipated that the specifications and bid package will be available on or about August 9, 2004. Sealed bids are estimated to be due on or about September 8, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency. Copies of the specifications and bid documents are limited and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. All requests for a bid package must be in writing.
