Description
Air Force Enterprise Information Technology Services The Air Force has drafted its strategy for how it intends to implement Enterprise Information Technology (IT) Services. The AF Enterprise IT Services Strategy (AFEITS) is the first step in developing a consistently managed infrastructure with common AF-wide IT services and processes and is a key step towards the implementation of a net-centric capability across the Air Force. It is consistent with OSD's planned approach for Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES). Our next step is to develop detailed Implementation Plans for each of these services and incorporate them in our planning and programming processes. The Air Force sponsored an Industry Forum in early February during which the framework for this strategy was presented to Industry and their comments and suggestions were solicited. Many of these thoughts and suggestions have been incorporated in the AFEITS strategy. At this time, we are providing Industry an opportunity to comment on our strategy. Specific instructions and a link to the strategy can be found at: https://www cio.hq.af.mil/public/DraftITEntStratt.shtml We are interested in your experiences in similar efforts that may support one or more of these enterprise services, especially as they may relate to detailed planning of the provisioning of the service and/or performance measurement and monitoring of the service. We request any comments be forwarded to us by 2 Aug in order for us to meet timelines mandated by senior Air Force Leadership. Point of contact is Lt Col Dan Altobelli, dan.altobelli@pentagon.af.mil< /a>. DISCLAIMER: This is not an invitation to bid or a request for proposal. The information presented herein will not obligate the Government in any manner and it is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this activity. Thank you in advance for your continued support of this initiative.
