Description

The US Army- Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) plans to award a Sole Source three (3) year, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract for the procurement of Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs) in support of AN/GSQ-240A(C) Joint Tactical Information Distribution System (JTIDS) Class 2M Radio. Solicitation W15P7T-04-R-E417 is for various SRU Spare Part Items from BAE Systems, Wayne, NJ, and will be issued on or about August 9, 2004. The Government does not currently possess a Technical Data Package (TDP) (i.e., drawings, documentation, and depot level technical manuals) that defines the form, fit, and function or performance of the JTIDS Class 2M Radio or its subassemblies. BAE Systems is the only source th at possesses the capability and knowledge required to satisfy the Governments' requirements. This is an approved sole source acquisition with BAE authorized under 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal , which shall be considered by this agency. The US Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) has established the IBOP Website to allow electronic transmittal of Requests For Proposals (RFPS). All parties interested in doing business with CECOM ar e invited to access, operate, send, and receive information from the ASFI/IBOP at http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. The solicitation will be posted to this same site. Upon accessing this webpage, click on CECOM Business Opportunities.
