Description
The project consists of an upgrade to the existing Base-wide Life Safety and Event Reporting System located on the U.S. Army Soldier System Center Campus in Natick, Massachusetts. There is a total of twenty-six (26) building to be upgraded. Buildin g types vary from office buildings to scientific laboratories to warehouses to industrial buildings. The twenty-six (26) buildings included in the scope of work for this project are as follows: 1(Headquarters Building), 2(Climatic Chambers), 3(Research B uilding with Walkway), 4(Development Building with Walkway), 5(Technology Engineering Lab), 7(Special Test Building), 8(Communications), 14(Motor Repair Shop), 15(EM Barracks Building), 16(Food Service Equipment Lab), 19(Boiler House), 20(General Purpose W arehouse), 30(Health Clinic), 32(Open Mess Officers), 36(Engineering Building), 38(HHD), 39(Sentry Station), 42(Ariem Building), 44(Instrumentation Building), 45(Laboratory Support Services Building), 66(Roller Test Facility), 77(Combustion Test Facility), 78(NRDEC HQ Building), 80(Conference/Training Building), 86(Navy Administration Building), and 92(OFW). This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for HUBZone firms. Work shall be completed within 150 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost of this work is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The solicitation shall be made availa ble via the Internet on or about 8/9/04. No paper copies of the solicitation or any amendments subsequently issued will be available. Prospective HUBZone bidders are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to receive the solicitati on. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.nae.usace.army.mil as well as the media by which the solicitation will be made available. Neither telephonic, mailed nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are respo nsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the New England District. All responsible HUBZone sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by the New Engl and District.
