Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials and supplies to stabilize mine waste, limit human and environmental exposure to the contaminants-of-concern and reduce the mobility of the contaminants to mitigate impact to the local surface water and groundwater resources. Work includes construction of temporary/permanent storm water controls, construction of temporary access roads and maintain existing roads, clean and grub the work site, demolish concrete foundations, abandon groundwater wells, excavate, transport, place, grade and compact tailings, cover soil, construct surface water drainages, reclaim site. Work is located in Douglas County, NV. The project is being advertised as full and open under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Price range is $100,000 to $250,000. Period of performance is 45 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Bonds will be required as follows: Bid Guarantee - 20% of the offered price, Payment and Performance Bonds - 100% of the contract price. The solicitation package will be available by electronic posting only and may be found at www.fedbizopps.gov. Contractors will be required to print the documents for submission of their offer at the place designated for receipt of offers. The solicitation documents will be posted on or about August 10, 2004. Effective October 1, 2003, contractors must be registered or have updated their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov. This registration is necessary to receive notification of amendments, contrat award, and will facilitate payments.
