Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the NSWC Division Crane. This requirement is for a quantity of 75 Chaff Dispenser Housings, 75 Diode Matrix Breech Plates, and 75 Dispenser Covers made in accordance with Government drawings. The Government requires a quantity of 2 each first article units, which are not part of the production units. First article units may be waived if the same items have been furnished and accepted by the Government. Contractors must be registered wi th the Central Contractor Registration database and must be certified under the Joint Certification Program in order to receive the technical package. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination. First article units are due to be manufactured and delivered to destination 30 days after contract award. Production units in the amount of 25 are due 75 days after the first article units are approved, with lots of 25 due every thirty days thereafter. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the Government considering past performance and price related factors. The solicitation will be available on or about 13 August 2004 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/announce.htm. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the re sponsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. ?No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed?.
